Photographing the Queen…again!

The Royal Engineers is a regiment steeped in history.  It is celebrating 300 years since its formation, and has the Queen as its Colonel-in-Chief.  On 13th October, she came down to Chatham to visit the barracks and take a special parade to commemorate the event.  What a wonderful day.

I was delighted to be asked to come and take the formal photographs, and after the parade, all of the senior Royal Engineers (officers and WO1s) prepared for a photograph.

It was slightly nerve-wracking setting the photograph with all these senior people and then have them all wait for 20 minutes until Her Majesty came out from meeting lots of other people inside.  Fortunately the weather was fair, and she was seemed to really enjoy the process.  I didn’t get told off!
