2017 Lidl Graduate Campaign
In July this year I was asked again to photograph for Lidl Supermarkets – this time as part of their strategy for Graduate recruitment – a really excellent scheme that is highly prized; and 14th in the UK top 100 according to The Times. To produce the creative framework for the strategy, Lidl employed the dynamic and bold Synergy Creatives based in Bristol, and I submitted my final edits directly to them to produce the final artwork. The new brochure is here!
The shoot was over just 3 days (although the editing took a little longer) and we had 6 recent graduates who had interesting back-stories – a baker, a cyclist, an academic, a footballer, an urban explorer, and an athlete.
The aim was to produce images (all with similar feels through lighting and post-production) that would be appropriate to use in multi-platform graduate recruitment scenarios; through internet-based exposure, to advertising banners, to chocolate bar wrappers!
The graduates were all brilliant in front of the camera – everyone of them motivated, energetic and enthusiastic. Fantastic to work with.
