Wedding in Great Tew

I must say, I have really enjoyed the weddings I have photographed this year; and it helps to be picky.  Sophie and Richard live in Dubai for most of the time, but the wedding was held in Great Tew, just outside Chipping Norton.  The weather was really superb for the majority of the day – with enough “dapple” from the tress to make sure the shots were not flattened by the sun, and then some really interesting clouds in the evening.

The reception was held in a marquee on the edge of the cricket ground which made the group shots challenging, as we had a game of cricket going on in the background, and light changing from cloudy to harsh bright when the sun joined in.

I decided to employ a couple of strobes of camera on iTTL with the Pocket Wizards doing the majority of the calculations (whilst I dialled in some -/+EV accordingly) as there were a lot of groups to shoot; some with lots of people and some with just a couple.

I have really enjoyed the weddings this year – right from the preparations to the post-production.  I will have to be fairly selective in the future, but surprised myself just how much fun they have been!
