One of only 2 weddings this year…

I am not usually a wedding photographer.  Frankly, weddings can be all-consuming and if you do weddings, well…..you just do weddings.  Besides; I like to go a little “off-piste” with my own style that is perhaps not quite what most “wedding togs” do.  Saying that, if I am free to produce what I produce, people tend to like my stuff!

Richard and Katrina contacted me about 7 months ago – Richard is a Gurkha officer based where I used to be in Pokhara, so it seemed only appropriate that I said yes.  The place was Hinton-St-George and the weather was pooh!

Actually, it was huge fun.  They were both massively relaxed through the day, and the whole thing was great to be part of.

Nothing too formal (other than the service, obviously!) really allowed everyone to get into the swing of things – then a great reception split between the local pub, and the cricket pavilion – including musical chairs and the “hat game”!

So, my aim was to capture the real spirit of the day; zing up the post-processing a little (it was quite a wet day, so that wasn’t going to stop me making the images count!)

I think they will love the results!
