One-2-One Training – Tom

Tom is a young architect working in Cardiff, and has been engaged with some wonderful charitable work in Africa and Asia.  Clearly, architects need to take photographs, and Tom’s previous work has been pretty good.  He understands his camera well, and so the aim of this two day course was just to hone those skills to improve the outcomes and final images…. Including some artistic in-camera stuff (as seen by the main image!)

As well as the usual ensuring the basics are covered, we spent some time on post-production techniques and introducing flash when ambient lighting is not really “nice” enough.  For the outside aspects, the weather was a bit tricky, but we managed a great early morning in the dry (just) on top of one of the hills overlooking the Dorset/Wiltshire/Somerset border.
