Tiger Tops, Chitwan Nepal

The Tharu Lodge is owned and operated by Tiger Tops Nepal and sits on the outskirts of a village just on the edge of the National Park in Chitwan.

The main attraction are the elephants which are wonderfully looked after and a joy to be around.  The other attraction is that the national park is home to elephants, one-horned rhinos, critically endangered Gharial crocodiles (of which there are just roughly 200 remaining on the planet), leopards, countless other beautiful creatures, and of course tigers.

I spent about 2 weeks at the lodge getting images for the new website and marketing needs.  If you are in the tourist business, it is absolutely essential to show off what you do to your best ability; whether that be on-line or with hard copy images in brochures etc.  So that’s where I came in.

The brief was pretty wide-ranging; in the main photographing the beautiful rooms and the safari tents (that have the most incredible bathrooms!) and then to head into the jungle to photograph some of the incredible wildlife.  What a place!
