London Marathon 2015

Outward Bound is a very impressive educational “People Development” charities that sponsors expeditions and events all over the world.  Each year they have a number of runners (this year well over 100) entered into the London Marathon to fund-raise and raise awareness of its activities.

With my expedition experiences, I was delighted to be commissioned by then to photograph the Marathon for them and the event that took place subsequently.  But, boy, trying to locate the Outward Bound runners in their green tops (amongst all the other green tops took a great deal of concentration!  I think I got most of them!

It’s a tough gig for a photographer; particularly if you need to move locations.  I had a pre-set stand at mile 13 and mile 24, so it was fine with the space, but moving between locations was very testing in such enormous crowds!  It is a lovely day to be a part of, and I look forward to repeating next year!
