Careers & Recruiting Campaign – Lidl 2018

I have been shooting the Lidl Careers and Recruiting campaign now for the last 4 years, and I am just about to start the 2019 campaign for graduates next week, before the main campaign in September.  So I thought I should do a little blog about the last year’s campaign.  I know… it’s a bit late – but things have been really pretty busy (I’ll blog about that shortly…I promise!). This shoot was for recruiting literature, adverts, social media, the careers website and banners outside stores.

What has been consistent running through the Lidl shoots is that they are one of the most enjoyable things I do each year.  The marketing team from Lidl HQ always look after me very well, and are great fun to work with – very professional and a pretty slick operation – it is always nice to have one of the team working closely with me.  In many respects, this negates the requirement for a detailed shot-list, because they understand the requirement very well, and we work very well together – getting what they need. In most other shoots, that could be very tricky – and yet here we are, turning up to Regional Distribution Centres, Lidl Stores, or the Lidl Headquarters, with no professional models (only their own employees) and through good-will and a very wilco attitude getting the images we need without much coercion or complaint!

You can see why it is so enjoyable!  I really do feel like one of the team!  Go LIDL!!
