The Wilton Classic and Supercar Show

June is busy.  I should have remembered from last year how busy it was for a photographer like me.  But it’s also great fun…if you are organised enough.  Admin time in these busy periods is crucial to factor in, and at least this year I feel on top of that.  Yesterday, I was shooting for EFG International – the Swiss Private Bank that has so much great effect sponsoring sporting and cultural events around the world.

The event was the Classic and Supercar Show, put on by the Earl of Pembroke at his house in Wilton.  Such a beautiful and appropriate location, and what incredible weather (arranged presumably by either EFG or Lord Pembroke!)

With my red pass I had a parking spot right on the edge of the Classic car display…in fact I was parked next to a demon-red DeTomaso Pantera… made my silver Golf look a little out of place!

I was in amongst the cars before the gates opened, and with that beautiful early morning sun, I was in photography heaven for an hour or so.

The cars, as you would imagine, were spectacular.  Some of them I had photographed at last year’s Salon Prive, but that takes nothing away from their power as an object.

The Bugatti display was simply beautiful too….
