Outward Bound – Snow Stopper

Each December, Outward Bound holds a charity auction to raise funds for the brilliant work it does in support of disadvantaged youths.  This year, their auction was at the amazing Ham Yard Hotel off Piccadilly Circus.  These sort of charity functions always do well with a good smattering of support from celebrities, and this year was no exception – we had Carol Kirkwood, Jonny Ball, Katherine Grainger, Sooty, Heston Blumenthal, David Seaman, Ray Mears, and Carol Smiley.

It is pretty standard photography (always in a dark room!) and I try not to use flash as that invariably takes the atmosphere away when you look at the images.  Thank goodness for Nikon pro’s hi ISO capability!  The auction raised about £130,000, so job well done!
