Nepal Exhibition – Salisbury
On Saturday, I held my first exhibition of photographs from Nepal; incorporating some of the images from the rest of the team that came out on the PhotoNepal Course that I ran last year. I was delighted and honoured that Diana Donovan; huge supporter of the Gurkha Welfare Trust and wife of the late Terrance Donovan (One of the world’s finest fashion photographers from the 60s and beyond) came along to open the exhibition; held at the Guildhall in Salisbury.
A number of ex military also came along, including 2 three star Generals, and some other prominent people offering their support. The aim was to try to raise some money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, which we did; selling many of the prints on display. Sebastian Bober, along with others from photoNepal 2012 contributed some of the images.
It was a wonderful day, in a beautiful surrounding. All exhibitions are nerve-wracking, but once you see the images hanging in place, well…it’s just a great feeling.
