Giles and Petra – Oxford
Boy it was hot! One of the hottest days of the year, and as a photographer, there is usually a lot of gear to carry around; so I felt the heat. But then the Groom and the ushers were all in Military “Blues”; a thick woollen fitted attire that must have been infinitely hotter than my linen suit!
But what a day…..
As I only do two weddings a year, it’s nice to get the weather sorted, but it also helps having a great bunch of people to photograph. The wedding was held at St Giles Church in Oxford, and the reception at Rhodes House; a beautiful building…simply stunning.
Despite the attention to detail (brilliantly done, and with nothing over-looked), the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. Petra, the bride, just shone throughout, and Giles was on great form too. So nice to see such happiness on display!
For my part, it was a busy old day, no real chance to stop and relax, but then, I’m not that keen on slowing my pace until it’s all “in the can”.
Photo ratio…. 3:1.
