EFG Bank Switzerland

Last week’s commission was for EFG Bank locations in Zurich and Geneva over three days.  The brief was fairly intensive, and thorough – useful when time is short; but this is my kind of shoot – I like to get on with the shoot without too much faffing about.  Trains, planes and automobiles getting me from place to place.  It was really very interesting seeing this other life that people lead – but I have to say, the bankers were really great to be around.  Tricky as always to get corporate types to sit for a photo, but I use a couple of my own tested techniques to get people on-board!

Welcome!
Welcome!

The Headquarters in Geneva is not the prettiest building, and I was asked to make it look better.  I think I managed it.

The images will be used for world-wide marketing on multi-platforms (see, I am getting into this business speak!)

Technically, for this kind of shoot, I use my 24-70 f2.8 and Elinchrom Quadra Ranger lights for the “studio” feel and the set-up shots, and my beautiful 85mm f1.4 without flash for the office shots.

Two things I wasn’t prepared for: 1. The heat!  It was over 30 degrees and 2. The price of food in Zurich is astronomical!
