Coca-Cola

Last week, I was photographing for Coca-Cola Enterprises at their Milton Keynes site – an amazing place, where you expect to see Willie Wonka at any moment.

The shoot was interesting as Coca-Cola Enterprises are updating all their employees across GB on their products in the lead-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, of which they are a main sponsor.

So, although this was a manufacturing site producing many of the soft-drinks that Coca-Cola manufacture, (in fact 48 million cases each year!) the Education Centre were used to host the event, briefing over 200 employees during the day.  The main focus was the briefing updates in a very modern and interactive way – effective too, I reckon!  As a aside, there was also a “football-goal” competition, demonstration of their “fantasy-football”, and computer simulated football competition, all set up by “All About the Idea”

In terms of photography, I was asked to use no flash during the presentations, so although the lighting was not bad, I was alternating between 400 and 1600 ISO – no problems for the big Nikon CMOS Sensor.  It is tricky in enclosed spaces with not much room to operate to use the photography to tell the story, but catching the angles and particularly with a high-branding situation, using the composition to maximum effect.

In all, an interesting shoot, working with a great team from Coca-Cola Enterprises HQ at Uxbridge, and thanks to Tom and his company – “All About the Idea”.
