A Trip to the Lakes

So, A good friend of mine lives up in Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria, and I went to visit him and his two lovely daughters in early April, just before the snow closed the M6.

We had a couple of days to hit some of the fells and to photograph some of the lakes. In the hope of a glorious sunrise on the last day, I went very early up Grange Fell. It was freezing, and the sunrise didn’t happen in the way I wanted. Never-the-less, as any photographer knows, you cannot leave empty handed!

The bull was not very happy with me being there, but I stayed still and at 14mm was very close to him! The sheep were even more skittish, but a couple of great images and the coast-line in the background…
